Let's unpack this case!

Terres Blondes Sauvignon Blanc
Wondering what to pair with your carrots and hummus? Or rather, wondering what to drink while you are making said hummus with all your new-found free time? Sauvignon Blanc is your stalwart solution for everything. This one comes from northeastern France--yes, you guessed it, the Loire Valley. The winemaker, Jean-Sébastien Marionnet, keeps an uncanny command over his grapes to send us these bullet-proof, bright, refreshing, goes-with-any-snack-or-salad, bottles of dry white wine!

Chateau Maupague Cotes de Provence Rose Cabaret
Drinking rosé from anywhere other than Provence is only problematic if you want to seem like you’re not totally into all the early albums. Not to say that Pablo Honey is better than Kid-A, but it’s always good to know where you’re coming from! In this case, Chateau Maupague is coming from eight generations of experience making Grenache-dominant rosé the old school way. Just like ‘Creep’ will always be a great song, drinking the ground-zero juice from Provence will always be a great way to stay cool. Pairs well with everything from Bouillabaisse to Zoom meetings.

Domaine de la Bergerie Anjou Rouge La Cerisaie
Everyone has their steak-night rituals, but the clandestine pairing professionals aren’t telling you is that your rib-eye is begging for a bottle of Cabernet Franc. This is a grape every bit as delicious as it’s big brother (Cab, Cab Sauv… say what you will, just don’t call it ‘frisco) but with an extra dollop of savory to bring out the beef in your dinner. Our version, produced organically in the Anjou appellation of the Loire Valley, is textbook. That’s right, schools are closed but class is in session! First new vocabulary word: pyrazine. Impress your friends. Pyrazine is the term winemakers use to describe the aroma of green peppers in a wine--a classic trait of Cabernet Franc.

Cru Monplasir Bordeaux Superieur (only included with the 12-bottle case)
Bordeaux is the Stephen Curry of wine regions. Even the haters agree: both changed the game forever. Curry showed us the power of the three, and Bordeaux brought us completely new standards of quality, production, and aging potential--modern revelations that the rest of the players had no choice but to follow (granted for Bordeaux it was in 1800s). When you think about it, this Cru Monplaisir from Bordeaux stands on the shoulders of giants. And we’re drinking these on the regular (and only partly to lament the current lack of NBA)! The wine is dry and robust but has enough fruit to please the crowd. Don’t hesitate to experiment with the pairings. Roasted chicken, beef stir fry, frozen pork dumplings--the ball is going in from wherever you shoot.
